New York University College of Dentistry

NYUCD is using Aperio systems to create the Donald H. Enlow Digital Image Library, a digital archive of Dr. Enlow's esteemed collection, nd to provide public access of the collection on the Internet.

Dr. Enlow, author of numerous papers and books on the growth and organization of bone, including how they relate to human facial development and dentistry, has donated one of the world’s largest bone histology collections to the Hard Tissue Research Unit, NYUCD. This collection is an inspiration to fields of dentistry, bone biology, paleontology, and anthropology, and 2006 marks the 50th anniversary of his initial publication.

University Health Network, Toronto, Canada
University Health Network in Toronto is integrating Aperio digital slides directly into the electronic healthcare record at three hospitals in Toronto. The Acute Leukemia Service (eSlides) project makes whole glass slide digitized images of bone marrows and peripheral blood smears (in context with relevant data such as blood counts, clinic visits, etc) available within UHN's electronic clinical desktop (Misys CPR) and allows clinical staff to look at them in their own patients' electronic charts. Human Proteome Resource Center
The Human Proteome Resource Center in Sweden uses Aperio ScanScopes to generate digital slides for its Human Protein Atlas. To date, there are more than 1 million images corresponding to more than 1500 antibodies publicly available. Take a look!
