DPA to Host DICOM Working Group 26 Meeting
The DPA is pleased to announce that it will host the DICOM
Working Group 26 Meeting at the Pathology Visions Conference. Working Group 26's
mission is to extend the DICOM Standard to support pathology images (including cytopathology, surgical pathology, clinical pathology and autopsy pathology studies).
The ultimate goal is a comprehensive, standards-based digital platform for pathology practice, of which DICOM-based imaging is a significant part. The mission of the DPA is to facilitate education and awareness of digital pathology applications in healthcare. Learn more about

Sylvia Asa, M.D., Ph.D. Announced as Keynote Speaker
Laboratory Medicine Program at the University Health Network. As head of the largest pathology department in Canada, Dr. Asa has made innovative changes to the practice of the discipline, with emphasis on subspecialization, automation, electronic initiatives and telepathology.
